When did you first realise you had psychic abilities?
Weird things had gone on in my family my whole life. By weird I mean, ghost encounters etc. I remember coming home from babysitting one night to find my whole family standing around a cupboard door that was opening and closing itself quite erratically. As a teenager I would see floating heads, the stereo would turn itself on and lightbulbs would explode. It was just how things were. But after I got married and had children - in my early twenties - I really started to question it all, I wanted to understand how and why things happened. That’s when (my Mum and) I enrolled in a Metaphysics course, and things just expanded quite quickly from there. Psychic abilities are like a muscle - the more you exercise them, the stronger they become.

So, your whole family is psychic?
Everyone in my family has great intuition. My Mum, my sister, my niece and I work together a lot on ‘de-coding’. They definitely have psychic abilities - getting visions and having synchronicities. We have a Telegram chat where we share and discuss every day. It’s quite the read!

My Mum has been an amazing guide with everything my whole life, we’re very close. She was ‘spiritual’ before spiritual became trendy. My daughters - both in their mid-twenties - are naturally intuitive, though they’ve done their utmost to ignore it (thanks to a bit of PTSD from some hard-to-explain paranormal things they witnessed growing up). I think as they get older they’ll embrace it more. And I think they’re quite proud of my abilities. Sometimes they’ll call me from work asking me for quick readings on their co-workers!

How does mediumship work?
Basically, it’s just a combination of being open to receiving and being in a neutral state that allows the light energy to connect. (Maybe that’s a bit simplified - having so much happen paranormally as a child probably gave me the required foundation of belief to start with… and then having stayed open, not ignoring it, nurturing it, it strengthened).

I find medium work very rewarding. I would love to work more on missing persons cases. When Denver Chance went missing in New Zealand in 2019, I was able to pinpoint where his body was, down to the house across the road. He used my hand to write the house number on a piece of paper (automatic writing). Quite by coincidence, I had gone to high school with Denver - we didn’t really hang out or anything, I didn’t know him well, but perhaps that made it easier for me to connect with him. He was able to give me quite a lot of detail about his murder and I kept in contact with his lovely Mum for a while afterwards. It’s a difficult thing - no-one should have to go through losing a son that way - but also, to be able to provide a family with proof that there is life after death and that their loved one is okay and give them a bit of comfort and peace… makes me very grateful for my intuition, and that’s how I would like to be using it.

Sadly, we don’t just always ‘get’ the answers to everything. I’ve been working on the Kevin Hicks case (16 years old, went missing in from Croydon, London 1986) for a few years, and no matter how much validated detail he gives me about his life before he went missing, I can’t seem to pick up exactly where his remains can be found. And that’s hard and frustrating - not being able to give his sister that closure. Sadly, his parents had both passed without knowing what happened to him.

How do you receive psychic messages, and The Eleven Codes?
I am all the ‘clairs’… voyant, sentient, audio, cognisant, gustance, alience  - basically they can give it to me any which way… a vision, a feeling, a sound, a knowing, a taste, a smell… Mostly it’s through visions, or seeing or hearing words, or just knowing something. Medical intuition is my least favourite and thankfully doesn’t happen very often - feeling someone else’s pain is not nice. My favourite is when they give me an overwhelming feeling of love in the higher vibrations. It’s indescribable, totally amazing.

With the Codes, it’s lots of signs and synchronicities, and waking up with specific songs in your head! Once your awareness is tuned-in to more subtle energies, things will just ‘jump out’ at you. Like, reading a book and a certain word, phrase or sentence jumps off the page. It can be a lot of fun actually! Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what they’re talking about, but it’s a bit like playing detective. 

I first started getting the codes around 2016, I think. It started with 9’s and 11’s - everywhere I went I would see 9’s and 11’s (The Eleven Codes really should have been called The Nine Eleven Codes, but I didn’t go with that for obvious reasons) - every day my table number given to me at the cafe would be either 9, 11, 18, 29 etc…, I started noticing that all my utility account or membership numbers, and even receipts, were ending in 911 or some variation of (always the end of the number, not the beginning), I would happen to open my phone at 9:11 and so on… And then, fairly recently really, I started doing simple gematria here and there, noticing some patterns.. and one day, as I went out on a walk, ‘they’ told me - “gematria is everything”. So then I really started to delve in. And here we are!

Finally, five fun facts about yourself?
I opened my own dance school when I was fifteen.
I manifested Hot Husband (when I was 17, I asked the Universe for “the love of my life” and he magically appeared two weeks later). 32 years ago. And he is.
I lived at Cape Reinga for 2 years (the top of the North Island, New Zealand, where the two seas meet and Maori spirits leap into the underworld).
I have moved house 44 times. Another fun fact! JONELLE NORMAN = (148)13 and MOVING HOUSE = (148)13 
I have seen fairies, been possessed by an ancestor and had a full-on conversation with a cockroach - nothing is strange to me.
